Humana Games developed an interactive video game that is exciting for children and adults, alike. The Horsepower Challenge begins as folks choose their horse character and a bus to ride within the game, and clip on their pedometers in real life. The goal of the game is to make your team's bus cross the finish line first – and every step you take moves your team’s bus closer to the finish line. The pedometers are connected to the video game so every time a player visits the uplink point, all their recorded steps are applied to their character, and bus, within the game. Steps are also worth money in the game and players can buy clothes for their horse and their busses can get a tune up as well. The game tracks the numbers of steps walked and the number of total miles – it is truly motivational and fun!
Adjusting the World Chiropractic has a Kid’s Area on their webpage www.adjustingtheworld.com designed to engage children in learning more about chiropractic care. One of the interactive, free games provided on the site is a word search, and the other is a cross word puzzle. Both games are educational and fun. For those interested in chiropractic care, on another level, there is a campaign going on right now called the Chiropractic Truth which includes a video from a CBS Early Show on back pain, lots of information beginning with the inception of chiropractic care, covering the stages of chiropractic care, and listing reasons why water is to healthy for the human body.
